Fannie C. Sherrer

Fannie C. Sherrer, 47, of Selma, died Thursday, July 11, 2002 at a local hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Good Hope Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill with the Rev. Gregory C. Williams officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Braggs, with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include a daughter, Debra C. Royal; two sisters, Nathel Sherrer and Joyce Carter; one son-in-law; five nephews; two nieces; and one aunt, Leola Shanks of Selma.

The body will lie in state at the church on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

Ms. Sherrer was a member of New Peace Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Gregory C. Williams.

Mary Perkins

Mary Perkins, 78, of Marion Jct., died Thursday, July 11, 2002 at a local hospital.

Services are 12 noon Saturday, July 20, at New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. John Suttles officiating. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include one son, Josh Perkins Jr. of Marion Jct.; three step-sons, John Perkins of Mobile, Joe (Wilma) Perkins of Cleveland, Ohio and Matthew (Betty) Perkins of Plant City, Fla.; two daughters, Martha (Charlie) Pasley and Margaret (Jessie) Dickerson all of Marion Jct.; one step-daughter, Charlotte Smith of New York, N.Y.; three grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law; two daughters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers are family and friends.

Repast will follow burial at Union Grove C.P. Church in Marion Jct.

Addie Johnson

Addie Johnson, 98, of Marion Jct., died Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at a Perry County nursing home.

Lula Bell Pryor

Lula Bell Pryor, 72, of Perry County, died Monday, July 15, 2002 at a Perry County nursing home.

Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Bro. James Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in New Oak Grove Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include three sons, Mathew H. Perry, John H. Pryor and Dexter Pryor; two daughters, Gail Pryor and Phyllis Leverette; three sisters, Ellen Watkins, Mary Kelly and Peggy Pryor; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one son-in-law; two daughters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; seven nieces; and seven nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and a sister, Fannie Morton.

Mrs. Pryor was a devout Jehovah Witness.
