Roto Rooter 17, Coffee Printing 16

Roto Rooter, the number-one seed in age 7-8 baseball, defeated number four-ranked Coffee Printing 17-16 on Saturday, June 29 at the Sportsplex.

Coffee Printing led the game until the bottom of the fifth, when Cullen Nichols and Joey Raybon scored to make the lead 14-13 in favor of Roto Rooter. Coffee Printing then came back to take the lead in the top of the sixth when Brandon Harvell’s single scored three runs.

Roto Rooter’s Logan Campbell doubled and scored on a single by Jay Fletcher. Fletcher scored the tying run on a single by Bo Summers. Summers scored the game-winning run on a single by Russell Conaway.

Age 11-12

Pancake House 11, Regions Bank 4

Pancake House used ten hits to beat Regions Bank 11-4 on Saturday, June 29 at the Sportsplex.

For the winning team, Jarvarus Smith had three hits including a three-run home run in the first inning. Jerell Peoples, Jeremy Phillips, and Brook Ross had tow hits each, while teammate Xavier Mack added one hit.

For Regions Bank, Zack Lawrence and Ross Faulkenberry had hits in the effort.

Royal Vending 5, George’s Paint and Body 4

Royal Vending defeated George’s Paint and Body in a close 5-4 game on Saturday, June 29 at the Sportsplex.

Roshawn Walker led Royal Vending at the plate for the game, while teammates DeDe Hayes and James Bennett added one hit each for Royal Vending.

For George’s Paint and Body, Jacoby Carter had two hits, followed by Justin Brown and Johnnie Franklin with one hit each.

A.G. Edwards 6, WWISP 0

A.G. Edwards shut out WWISP 6-0 on Saturday, June 29 at the Sportsplex.

Daniel Lee, Braxton Fuller, Clint Maroney, and Brad Averett teamed up to pitch a no-hit shutout for A.G. Edwards.

Maroney had three hits for the winning team, followed by Fuller and Averett with two hits each. One of Averett’s hits was his fifth home run of the season. Patrick Bonner and Lanny Harrison also had hits.
