A resident of Selma was reported dead after being involved in an auto accident on Highway 14 East on Wednesday.
According to Alabama State Trooper Chris Ellis, Sally Palmer, 57, of Selma, who was driving a Chevrolet Lumina, died after her car crashed into an 18 wheeler truck, which was parked on the side of the road. The car, which was totaled, then fell into a ditch, said Ellis.
The driver of the truck, Samuel Cattlin, 50, whose place of residence was not reported by state troopers, was not in the truck at the time of the accident, Ellis said.
