Rush Carpets and Cosby Ice managed to get in a game before the thunderstorms of Friday, May 17, 2002, with Rush Carpets winning 10-8.

For Rush Carpets, LaDerus Parker got three hits and scored twice, with a home run being one of his hits. Teammates Sidney Riley and Ryan Tindoll each got two hits and scored twice, and both Dalvan Mitchell and Justin Murry got two hits.

Cosby Ice’s Michael Peterson got two hits, one of them a home run, and scored twice. Teammates John Olinger and Ashby Massey each got two hits and scored twice, and Chase Girlie got two hits and scored once. Keyonis Phillips got one hit and scored once for Cosby Ice.

Ray Davis and Co. 17, Rountree Electric 16

Ray Davis and Co. managed to edge out a 17-16 victory over Rountree Electric on Friday, May 17, 2002.

For the winning team, Hunter Desch, Austin Farley, and Christian Allday each scored three runs.

Navarious Walker scored three runs in Rountree’s effort.

Coffee Printing 10, Eyemax 0

Coffee Printing beat Eyemax 10-0 on Saturday,

May 18, 2002, at the Sportsplex.

Coffee Printing’s Craig Price had two hits and scored twice, as did Brandon Harrell and Justin Seele. Norris Lewis and Aaron Robertson each had a hit in the winning effort.

Allenson Johnson led offensively for Eyemax with two hits. Teammates Ricky Rushing and Jordan Miree had a hit each.

Photo Corner 14, Exchange Club 9

In an extra-innings ballgame on Saturday, May 18, 2002 at the Sportsplex, Photo Corner beat Exchange Club 14-9.

For Photo Corner, Garron Page got three hits and scored twice, while teammate Sherome Lindsey had three hits and scored once. Alex Harrison and Will Wilkerson had two hits and scored twice each.

Matthew Richey had four hits and scored three times for Photo Corner.

Exchange Club’s Davarious Bender got three hits and scored twice during the game, while George Rowe had two hits and scored twice. Jonathan Reese got two hits. Teammates Vontarious Melton and Timothy Thomas each got a hit.

In a high-scoring game on Saturday, May 18, 2002 at the Sportsplex, Interlink Drug defeated CWA 20-16.

For Interlink, both Eric Blevins and Prince James got two hits, scored twice, and had a home run. Reggie Vasser and Jessie Harris had two hits and scored once. Teammate Tracey Smith had three hits and scored once in the win.

For CWA, Ethan Fancher got four hits and scored four times. Teammate Alex Peoples got three hits and scored three times, while both Bryant Allen and Crawford Taylor got four hits and scored twice. Grey Cothran had two hits in the effort.

Cougar Minit Shop managed to pull off a close victory on Saturday, May 18, 2002, as they defeated Yeargan Construction 15-14.

For Cougar, Jeff Hubbard got three hits and scored three times. Corey Hayes got three hits and scored twice, and teammates Austin Gilchrist and Austin Moore had two hits and scored twice each. Aet Smith got two hits and scored once in the win.

Yeargan’s Jeremiah Catlin had three home runs in the effort, while teammate Quashun Thigpen had two hits, one of them a home run, and scored twice. Caleb Rader and Dalton Lee had two hits each, and John Nettles had two hits and scored twice.

For Roto Rooter, Bo Sommers, Logan Campbell, and Joey Raybon had three hits and scored three times. Greg Harris had three hits and scored twice, while teammate C.J. Chestnut had two hits and scored twice.

Michael Ward had two hits and scored once for Fuller Building in the effort. Teammates Cody Summerlin and Hunter Gorenfid each had two hits, as well. Tarvis Stacey had one hit in the effort.
