Why isn't he already in jail? A little investigative journalism would have added so much to this story, and not left the reader wondering. popdukes12

What would be the effect if the food stamp program barred fatty foods from being purchased with food stamps? Or, the free breakfast and lunch programs at school barred fatty foods? Just a thought. popdukes12

archangelsk: I remember you now, you were the educator that got so bent out of shape a couple of weeks ago when I mentioned that a lot of one's problems went back to a dysfunctional childhood. Man, I must have struck a nerve. Get a grip, we're on something entirely different now. There are excellent drugs on the market for dementure, you may want to check with Dr. Hodo. popdukes12

antnee09: You've seen what i've seen, the weaker human side of the issue. sure liberty is right about the limits of government, but sometimes it just doesn't work. Sometime in the past, I had one of my sons ask me why I didn't drink. Sure it is legal, but my answer to him was that I grew up around an alcoholic and that i'd never seen one positive thing come from drinking. I didn't grow up around a gambler, but I feel sure that it would be about the same result. popdukes12

allmylife: Most of your statements were true; However, a couple of facts were off. let me correct a few. Dr. Rousell was basically ran out of town for putting surplus school funds into a bank in Montgomery rather than putting them into a local (homeowned) bank until needed. The rest was window dressing. Henry was reading a note to Rose and Perry in Ms. Jackson's office to the effect that the mayor would meet with them in council chambers in 10 minutes. Rose looked over Henry's shoulder and saw what the note was going to say and thats when Henry was pushed over the desk by Perry and another guy. The mayor did not flee his office (I was in the office at the time). I sat Ms. Foster in the mayor's chain before some idoit ran over her (the mayor was o.k. with that). Perry and the other guy locked their arms around the arms of the chairs they had set down in and one chair came apart when they were dislodged from the chair. Rose was pulled into the office by officer Bean as she was stuck in the door (half in half out) they both landed on the couch. Rose fell to the floor and came up cussing and swinging (she hit me in the ribs).Anyway that's a little bit of the rest of the story. popdukes12
