Thank God the child is okay and I hope this mother learns a lesson and hopefully someone reading this will think before doing something so careless too! Children are too precious to be so irresponsible.

Really? He should get away with it? Apparently you were not raised like I was where I was taught two wrongs do NOT make a right. What is the matter with someone that they would say it was okay for someone to break the law because others do it too? Ridiculous!!!

I am just going to say this to any criminal that happens to read this. I think it is RIDICULUS that people are such idiots! What is wrong with people? I don't care if you grew up poor, only had one parent, only had a grandparent, lived in foster homes, got abused, whatever! Go to counseling! Go to church if you can do that without stealing somebodys purse! If you don't like white people, I don't care! If you don't like black people, I don't care! If you don't like someone, ignore them. Don't freakin' shoot them! Don't freakin' rob them! I understand all to well what some of the above situations can be like for a child. However, when I grew up, I made my own decisions as to what I would and would not do. So do you! Everything starts with one. It takes one person to pull a trigger, it takes one person to rob someone else. It also takes one person to say I am better than this, and I will get a job, go to school, make myself better than what statistics say I will be. It also takes one person who is racist to spread the hatred on to someone else as well as one person who is not, to show someone else they don't have to be. If you don't like someone based on their color, keep it to yourself. If you have anger and hatred inside of you, go seek out a counselor and get help. It is up to you! Noone owes you anything...

I know it was just a thing to put the heat causes people to do strange things, but seriously, this being a shooting I think it is distasteful. If I had been shot and someone put in the paper, even jokingly, that the heat caused the shooter to do it, I would be pissed! For the comment about the burglar compared to this shooter, other than the people related to him, it is pretty much the same. Again, big difference in trying to take a life, and take someones things. They should all go to prison just the same though! Another thing, as far as us, directed towards taxpayers like myself, paying for these people in prison, it sucks, but I will not complain about it too much. I am just grateful for the prisons to house these animals! What pisses me off is paying for the bs trials that get these animals off! I will pay to keep them away, but I shouldn't have to pay to let them continue to roam the streets and terrorize decent people!

Alice, you do make a good point, but I don't see where anyone on here wished them harm. We have all mostly said IF they are guilty. I hope it is a given that we will all think about and pray for the parents and families. Yes we were all stupid at 18, but not breaking into houses stupid. Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, the BTK, and so on, all had parents, doesn't mean I should reserve or withhold my judgement on the killers! I pray to God that my children never end up in trouble, and if they do, I hope they learn from their mistakes and take the punishment handed to them. If you do the crime, you should do the time, and part of that is other people judging you! I have the right to an opinion, right or wrong, and I choose to share it on here just like you. If those boys are innocent, I hope it will be rectified soon. If not, refer to my above opinion! Another opinion of mine is don't get on this website and read all the gossip and then complain about how we are wrong. When you read it, you have spread it! You are doing the same thing.

I agree that this should be a positive thing. Anything that helps! I do hope and pray for their safety as they travel these streets unprotected. They could be in the best of neighborhoods and still be hurt, so I pray for their safety. One last thing, honestly, couldn't they have cleaned the garbage off the streets before they took this picture and published it? That is just nasty, people really ought to care more about their streets!

I feel very sorry for the parents of this girl. No matter how they may or may not have went wrong, they are most likely worried and suffering right now so my thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Sometimes, even if a parent does right, these things can happen, I do not know this case so I could not say one way or the other, but I agree that this 21 y.o. has no business being involved with a 13 y.o. girl. I hope my kids never go down this path and I hope that I am doing and will continue to do a great job as a parent. That being said, if this tragedy does happen with my kids, I do hope people will at least wait until my child is found BEFORE they start pointing fingers at me or at my family! Keep your focus people and help find this girl first!
