jonsavant, you are a poor mouthed racist. How about finding another description before someone calls you "what you are" on this blog. I take it "your" not benefiting from all the industry Riley brought into this State either, huh? Maybe they should have distributed all the MILLIONS of dollars they "blew" building that total waste of tax payers dollars called a "Interpretive Center" in Lowndes. What a pile of junk. NO ONE goes to this place. The parking lot is ALWAYS empty, but it does make for a great rest-stop for truckers. How is it benefiting the people of Lowndes?
Milton McGregor pads every legislator's pocket around campaign time. The man is even connected in this industry in Russia. Sometime power and money can control these good ol' boys in the State House and keep them looking the other way. How do you think the Sanders keep getting handfuls of grants at their disposal? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't ROSE SANDERS send her own child to attend DALLAS COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL at that time? So who's the hypocrite? Can someone please clarify this for everyone here.
And yes, this GANG OF ROGUES were running around, threatening children at Westside and Selma High. They should have been charged with inciting a riot and hate crimes. This shows the mentality and capabilities of this group of reknown racist. Now this is what you have in 2009.....so be proud of your accomplishments. Now you have a failing, crumbling, implosive school system. CONGRATS!!!!

There is something we were supposed to learn as children...and that being "responsibility". Obviously, some people have never learned the lesson. Just because the casino is there doesn't mean you gamble your whole check and livelihood. Just because the liquor store is on the corner doesn't mean you drink yourself to death. Just because McDonald's is down the street doesn't mean you eat Big Mac's everyday. I think you get the drift. You can't pin people's erratic, irresponsible behavior on establishments. There has to be some self accountability.

I keep hearing a select few say the reason "white kids" left the public schools are for racial reasons and to segregate themselves from blacks. Let's examine this: The white kids were in the PUBLIC SCHOOLS ALL ALONG. The white kids were in the public school system alongside the black kids ever since DAY one of integrated schools. They never had a problem for the last 30+ years, so why all of a sudden would they have a problem with sitting alongside black kids now?
So how can anyone make the idiotic statement that whites kids left the public schools because of racial acts/discrimination? AGAIN...WHITE KIDS LEFT THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS BECAUSE OF THEIR SAFETY AND THE THREAT OF THEIR EDUCATIONAL ENDEAVORS. PERIOD. END OF DISCUSSION.

I bet this is an evil plot by men in dark suits trying to keep the "Black Man" down in Lowndes County. I even bet the casion owners have the machines rigged so that blacks lose and the whites win. Next thing you know, Atty Pettaway will file a class action lawsuit on behalf of the black community of Lowndes for "racist bingo machines". Hahaha The sad part is I wouldn't be shocked one bit if he did.
I wonder what other JOBS the 105 people would be working in Lowndes if the casino wasn't there???

You are right, jazzy. This small group of black racist in Selma have been playing race cards and controlling the black community through race politics, communist radio, putting out lies and half truths and attempting to "strong arm" anyone that threatens "their" many years of corruption. This style of people aren't unique only to Selma, but IT IS more prevalent here because this group has been getting away with these action for the last 20+ years. When someone or some group gets close to exposing this group, all they do is scream racism. It's worked for them since 1965 and will as long as people keep buying into it.
The only true slaves in Selma are the ones that let this Sanders clan control you. They tell you how to vote, when to vote and who to vote for. They endorse candidates that are going to turn their heads to their actions and let them have free reign of this community. They even go out of their way to give you marked ballots so you can see who you need to press the button for. These people are truly the enemy in this community and will forever be as long as people keep turning their heads to this corruption.
I've never seen a group of people that are extremely rich, have tons of poltical control from Selma all the way up to the State level, own a radio station to control the media, have access to endless grants and opportunity and on and on and on.....YET...complain, whin, and moan about nothing but RACE. THIS IS NOTHING BUT A STRATEGIC MOVE TO CAUSE MOST OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY TO STAY IN A RACIAL FRENZY AND WHEN PEOPLE FEEL LIKE THEY'VE BEEN SLIGHTED OR DONE WRONG...THE SANDERS GANG CAN BE THE "GOOD GUYS' THERE TO TAKE THE LEAD AND MANIPULATE. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
