One last comment.I work at a Mental Health Center. I work there because I love all people regardless of their disability. I wanted to reemphasize that I did not say they need to be alone but distinguishing if a child has a learning disability versus an emotional conflict . There are some children being tested when appropriate. There are also children that have fallen behind for years before the true problem is realized.

Eyeonyou and all other negative comments is what to be expected by some. I know who I am and my purpose for running as a school board member. There's no need for me to submit or explain much further the information that was actually submitted. I am not a person with a negative or bad attitude. An important theme I stress is your attitude determines your altitude. I'm praying and believing that individuals criticizing others will be reduced in our area. For anyone that has read article and care about what I really said, I will be more than happy to submit a copy.

Sensible : You asked a very important question and one that I addressed in paper submitted. It is a paid position but my question was if the salary is cut how many people will still run. That is why I wanted my beginning to say it wasn't about self-gain. The salary is very unimportant to me but being able to work with others to increase graduation rate along with many other issues that need to be addressed will do my heart good .

My graduation dates are incorrect along with many other things. They reworded what I said about children struggling academically. I said as a school system we need to distinguish if a child has a learning disability or has an emotional conflict that has them falling below grade level. This write up is an insult to myself and my family

Dr. Taylor is an annointed man of God. This entertainment center will prosper. The only buildings in selma that are ruined are the ones owners do not upkeep. It is bad that people are infested with so much of negativity. But for all of you positive individuals keep your head up and do believe in Selma. With believers a change can and will happen.

I'm definitely not taking up for the Dixons, but I must say starting August 11th they did have their daughter in school. One of my children go to the same school and they were seen daily dropping off and picking up the child. No I don't agree with many actions that took place in front of the child but I do believe everyone deserves a chance to get it together so things such as this are avoided. I pray for the family and the innocent child

I am excited about the new beginning with the Selma City School System. I read some of his comments in the interview process and he sounds as if he's truly concern about the student's progress way more than personal gain. This is what Selma needs!!!!!!!! We need leadership that has their job at heart. Encourage everyone you know to get involved with what's going on in the city. It's time for us to move forward and I smell progress in the air. A new day has just begun.

I apologize for telling you to shut up. It does bother me when people do wrong but at the same time it bothers me when those are trying to do right and are criticized. I should have just said we can't criticize about fundraisers because everyone has them.

Again, I pray that the school functions as it should. I refuse to speak not going to be successful or anthing or anybody. After this post, I will not be postng any more comments. This is my first and last and I don't have time to be going back and forth.Everyone has their own opinion!!!!!!!!!

This post is for the first comment.First of all you are an individual that has no vision. I commend Coach Walker for fighting to stay open. The almost 100% black is another reflection of just how segregated Selma is. When CCA first started, this wasn't the case. As with anything else, the more blacks move in whites start movng out. It is time for us to become a unified Selma. I am praying and believing that the school will have over 60 or 70 students. Even public schools have fundraisers. So shut up talking about the ways they fight to bring in the finances. I'm sure their goal is to pay their debts. I'm believing that people will look past color and look at the awesome academics that are going forth and support this institution. I claim and speak an enrollment of no less than 200 students for the 2008-2009 school year.
