eyeonyou, the more you talk/type, the more ridiculous you sound. The solution is to be quiet.

On Selma company gets street contract

Right on the money, jojo. People like popdukes are comfortable with the status-quo; they sit on their front porches and complain about everything, or they don't even live in the community and spew their poisionous rhetoric. Mind you, people like that don't get involved, other than blowing hot air from the the hole in their faces.

On Work to begin soon on Riverfront Park

I guess there is good in everything. Selma needs to capitalize on this misfourtune and erect a state-of-the-art marina to tie in to the riverwalk park; the marina would have been an eyesore anyway when the park comes into fruition. Bring back the gas station for the boaters, a nice patio area for the folks who like to drink and eat, riverboat cruises, you name it. I can see boating and fishing tournaments twice and three times a year filling up the hotels in the city, downtown cafes with people sitting out on the sidewalk dining.

Pass the bond and get Selma moving again. The previous two commentors are comfortable with the status-quo. It's like you people are afraid of taking a step in any direction and you waste time finding fault with everything. The world is passing you by, people. Stop talking about Sears cards and other poppycock; pass the bond; get people working, modernize the city, and rebuild the crumbling infrastructure, and we could pay the darn thing off.

It's about time the Selma community gets serious about code enforcement.

I see Victor Nissan is not participating. I also have noticed that his dealership does not have the activity as other dealerships in the area that are participating.

If Ms. Felton's father died in 2003, why is she just doing something about the properties now? I am glad the city is doing something about these slumlords to clean up these neighborhoods. These conditions would not have festered this long in other communities.

Hopefully this will force the slum lords to clean up their properties. Often times these people live out of the city or state, and it's hard to catch up with them. Good luck in these efforts.
