The blog comments for the Selma Times Journal are more hilarious than the actual articles. Both sides, black or white in Selma, are still stuck and still stupid.

Sharon, that was a good point. Making $70,000 in Selma is wealth to me especially if you live and work in Selma.

As an Orrville native, I appreciate someone taking the time to even grasp an idea for development in Orrville. I always enjoy myself when I go back home and it saddens me to see the worsening conditions there. I have faith that not only Orrville, but all small rural areas will emerge and play a bigger role in our state.

LOL! Eyeonyou should be the spokesperson for the STJ! That explanation given sounded like one of those good White House cover ups! I think its more of a principle thing. Why have a blog comment entry section if the entire database isn't fair game?

Everyone else spins the blog out of control.....why can't I do it? I was responding to an entry, not the article.

Heeeeyyyyyy......Eyeonyou makes good points here or there....I can see where she is coming from sometimes on certain issues. I know black idiots (related to quite a few) as well as white idiots. I don't think the Ghost of Idiocracy has a race.
Come on black people! You know some of what she says is true. Why is it that its funny when we talk about each other but racist when others (primarily whites) do it. I was downtown Nashville last night and this white guy was fuming and attempting to fight a black guy because he called him a "white cracker". There weren't rallies of other whites trying to start a riot. Hell they were just as scared and got the hell off of that street. Reverse the actions and let that guy say the infamous "N" word.....every black person on the streets would have gotten a lick in and dared the cops to arrest. I know some of my own may not like what I am saying, but it is true. I'm not trying to take up for anyone or take a side...just stating the obvious.
But think about how may times one of us has prejudged a white person and did not think anything of it....
Ignorance is bliss! Its not black or white. Its a crippling diesease that can touch down on the plains of Valley Grande as well as the alleys of East Selma.
At the end of the day we all have to realize that The Selma Times Journal allowed everyone to speak freely so why even get pissed about a blog?
Here is a list of other relevant things to be pissed about:
Teachers that are not highly qualified to educate your kids...
Gas prices....
The economy....
People living on gov't assistance but buying out the bar...
Leaders using public funds for personal use...
Irresponsible daycare employees....
People selling foodstamps while others cringe at the price of milk....
Litter bugs....
Rent to own rim shops....
Rims on eyesore cars..with a loud radio
Refilling prescriptions to sell them....
Healthy people on disability and cancer patients denied....
A LACK OF MALE LEADERSHIP IN ALL ARENAS....

Pops I think Squirk is just trying to sell some records or something. His posts are like the chorus to a rap song....same words, different loop and in the end mostly worthless or didn't even relate to the primary content.

Eyeonyou I read the article you posted. I'm a democrat and this universal healthcare reform is kind of mind boggling for me. There are some people that can benefit from it, but I know there are several that will abuse it. I grew up in Orrville. There are people down there that are seriously in need. On the other hand, I know several that are guilty of fraud. I work everyday and at times it does piss me off to see others sit on their ass that can be out working. Before anyone makes it a race thing, I am a black guy. I know more blacks than white that are always taking the easy way out. And I'm not saying all black people are like that but I know family members that have been abusing the system for years. And I wish the city of Selma would stop catering to strictly low income families. Do they not value the people that work hard everyday? What about some luxury apartments? I would rent one for when I come home to visit.
