To: The Blake Family My most heartfelt sympathy goes out to the entire family with the loss of your loved one. Words cannot describe "Ms. Anna's" inspiration on all who knew her.I personally felt as if I was a "son" along with her other boys. I always was treated that way by the entire family. William (Buddy) is one of my best friends and has been since the first day we started kindergarten. Most of my fondest childhood memories were spent with the Blake family with "Ms. Anna" teaching and keeping us in line. The life lessons that she instilled in us can be seen in all her children .I give credit to mothers like Ms. Anna that guided her family and me to strive and give our best , treat people as you wish to be treated and be thankful for what you had . I am proud to have had her in my life . She was loved by all and will truly be missed .

To Scottsdalebubble: You are right on point. I too remember the days back in the 60's. Selma has come a long way but from some of the other post has a long way to go. When the media talk, whether anyone like it or not people listen and notice. The STJ is a window or the heartbeat of the area as far as how the public see's life in the community. It's very pleasing to see that they choose to look ahead and not backwards on such an important matter for all Americans.

This is one one the hardest things I have ever written in my entire life.Selma lost a beautiful young lady that was the shining example of what a mother and model citizen should be. Helen or (Carrie-Dean) as she was called by those who knew and loved her was the most caring person one could meet. At a young age she always was the one that would do anything without hesitation or reward for anyone. That behavior continued throughout her adult life. She inherited those core values from a loving mother and grandmother that "raised her right",any southern born person know exactly what I mean by that phrase. We don't know or have all the details about this situation , but we do know and can proudly say that Helen was an exceptional mother that loved and cared for all her family. As a neighbor stated, she was quiet and easy going. Those are the people that set the standards that benefit society. I'll alway be proud of my niece who was a wonderful person to be around. She will be forever loved and will never be forgotten. Love to all the family at this time and we will prevail. ---Billy, Vacaville California
