Orrville Antique Tractor Show offers great band

Published Thursday, November 26, 2009

Dear Editor,

On Nov. 14 I had a chance to go to the tractor show in Orrville, Ala. Old tractors, cars, food, arts and crafts and homemade ice cream ¬– it was all wonderful.

At 12:30 a bluegrass band took the stage “Hurricane Creek” picking and singing. Stan Nelson, guitar and lead singer had a clear strong voice. His wife played bass, Anthony Bailey played banjo, Stacy Richardson played mandolin.

They never missed a beat and their fingers moved so fast. This was the best band that I had ever seen or heard.

If you have a chance to hear them pick and play, go see them and you will not be disappointed. You will come home feeling good inside like I did.

Thank you “Hurricane Creek.” God bless all of you. I hope you go all the way to the top.
