Selma man arrested for drug charges
Published Saturday, November 21, 2009
SELMA – Officers in the Crime Response Team of the Selma Police Department noticed a subject throw two bags containing a suspicious substance.
Police arrested Wayne Crittenden, 31, and charged him with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.
“The suspect was arrested for distribution because he bought off of a controlled informant,” a narcotics officer, who will remain nameless due to the security of the officer’s job, said.
Crittenden was arrested in the area of Keller Avenue and LeGrande Street. The Crime Response Team was working the area because of complaints of drug sales, loud music and shooting.
Police confiscated two bags of cocaine believed to be the bags Crittenden threw.
The suspect was placed in the Dallas County Jail under $60,000 bonds. He made bond and was released.
Crittenden was also arrested in January for drug charges – unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana second degree.

Why isn't he already in jail? A little investigative journalism would have added so much to this story, and not left the reader wondering. popdukes12

I'm like popdukes12, why wasn't he in jail for the January arrest?
No wonder these druggies don't pay attention to any laws, the judges smack their hands and turn them loose.
It's time to ELECT NEW JUDGES! It seems the ones in office can't or won't do what they were elcted to do.

Wait...so the cops had drugs and were selling to dealers then arresting them? Wow...only in America! I'm so glad I don't pay income tax!

No "trainwreck", the cops didn't have drugs and were selling to dealers. This idiot sold to drugs to the police. Read it slower next time.

umm...HD3187----- “The suspect was arrested for distribution because he bought off of a controlled informant,” a narcotics officer, who will remain nameless due to the security of the officer’s job, said."
No matter how "slow" I read it I am still coming to the conclusion that the suspect bought off of a controlled informant! INFORMANTS ARE COPS!!!!

Well trainwreck the cops does that all the time, it's call a trick or you may call it lying. They can do it to you but you better not do it to them or you'll be breaking the law.

AND THEN FOR HIM TO BUY FROM AN INFORMANT AND THEY STILL LET HIM MAKE BOND, THIS IS SOME SAD STUFF, OR MAYBE HE IS A SNITCH THE REASON WHY HE KEEPS GETTING OUT OF JAIL!!!!
