What? No mention of that sneaky little vote at the very end to put in place "test" cameras?

So very disappointed in the council, not even one person thinks enough of our liberty and freedom to say 'no', not one.

That IS disappointing. I hope the council isn't putting on their old Perkins Boondoggle Goggles.

I WAS pleased that they voted to outsource garbage collection. That'll probably save the city the money they'll blow on the stupid cameras.

I would like to know where the "test" cameras will be placed and I'd also like to know where the already in place "audio and video surveillance" is - I would like to steer clear and avoid these areas.

Just STOP at the damn red lights and don't worry about them. They do work, for they got me in Montgomery recently and had three good pictures to prove it , even though it was night and raining.

eeashe, please go research all of the camera stories for the information as to WHY we are not in favor of these cameras.

No one is arguing that you shouldn't stop at red lights or obey traffic laws - that's a given.

I will be working on fliers so you will be able to find one in town real soon and read up on why we should NOT have these cameras in Selma.

fxstbharleyrider: That is what happened in the UK. Just look at their society, CCTV, cameras in the homes of new parents and those considered "unfit"...
