Let's see.... I don't remember all of the news, but some I do. In January some guy named Simmons shot into an occupied house, using a gun instead of something more civil like a camera. A week before another guy from Orrville did the same thing, but into a different house. In February Brandon Lewis shot Omar Williams in the back. In March Anthony Ellis shot a car, apparently because his girlfriend and her baby were in it? Also in March was a confusing but sad story about a guy saying he unknowingly shot his 25 year old stepdaughter, who died. In April was the heartbreaking story of Kachavious Hurry who was killed because 2 different people shot him? Just Wednesday a 39 year old guy, who is old enough to know better, shot a guy who then tried to drive himself to the hospital. Now, today....
If the good people of Selma could stop shooting each other, maybe we could all get onto the task of making Selma a place where jobs are so plentiful that it would be hard to get employees, where education is so good that families from other areas will want to move just to so their kids can go to school here, and where production is so high that other areas will look to us for help, instead of the other way around.

EllenCarter, Your blog makes sense, and I agree, except for obviously, the ones that are commiting the crimes are far from being good people, and it is those types of people that are running all of the truly good people that could make all those things possible out of this city and county.
God speed to you and all of us "good people" who because of circumstances have no other choice but to remain here, and do our best to make a living and try to be safe in doing it.
