Two Greensboro grads pick Selma

Selma University head baseball coach Raymond Brown announced Greensboro High infielder La’Deriaus Page and catcher Ja’Marcus Moore have signed with Selma.
Page was a three-year varsity starter at shortstop and second base and a standout on the Raider track team.
Moore was a three-year varsity starter at third base, catcher and pitcher.
“Both young men are solid individuals who will represent the character that we expect at Selma University,” Brown said.
Baseball was discontinued at Selma University in 1997. On Feb. 5, 2010, Morehouse opens Selma’s season.
Other signees include Talladega County Central’s Derrick Cheatman at third base; Anthony Brown Jr. of McIntosh at shortstop; Dontavious Surles of Central Haynesville at second base; Central Haynesville’s Alzavian Rush at shortstop; infielder Jeremy Phillips of Selma; and first baseman Michael Partridge of Riverdale, Ga.
