Tobacco companies start brainwashing early

Published Wednesday, June 24, 2009

Dear Editor,

My hope is this letter will be published because it has weighed on my heart. I hope you, the reader, will look forward to extended reading on this issue of life. I will call it, "the ultimate brain washing."

Let me start with when I was about ten years old growing up in Tuscaloosa I was allowed to go to the movie theater most Saturdays (this was when you got a ticket, candy bar, big box of popcorn and a large soda for about 50 cents, 1952).

To get to the point! Almost every actor smoked. In every movie, I as a young teen thought it was very manly or romantic to smoke, so I saved enough to buy a pack of Lucky Strikes cigarettes. The first time I took a draw, I came very close to

choking to death, some people probably thought I should have. But I was persistent.

After a lot of coughing, I finally got the hang of it. That was the beginning of the brain washing for me and millions of other young kids just like me. Next part coming soon is the smart way the tobacco company realized how they could manipulate not only the young, but old as well. Best part coming!

continue...Through the actors and my imaturaty it was an easy sell for them. Movies were having such an impact on people the "they " people, (very rich) had to take notice the power "they" had over the folks. I'm sure "they" realized if "they" could get control of the meadia, Television, movie studios and such "they" would not have to fire a shot to take complete control of America. Guess what "They now have that control! Very frightening. Who are "they"? First we have to understand "they" are the very powerful and rich! It is a network of people that beleive "they" can make policy and control us. Like how we live our lives. You will elect whom ever "they" tell you to. you will wear and eat what "they" say. you will drive what ever vehicle "they" choose to make. The worst of all you will BELEAVE every thing "they" say and do. I no you think this is a hit on President Obama. It is not. This started a long time ago. Obama is just doing what he is told by the people that placed him in the white house (same as Bush and others) this will get more scarry, cont..................

The greatest brainwashing of children about tobacco comes from observing their parents and extended family using the products. If it is okay for these people, then surely it must be okay for the kids. The parents must take responsibility and set the right example for the children in all aspects of their life.

continue... if you really care about your children (it is obvious most don't) they would not be walking the streets with no hope, no education, no direction in life. The problem is our leaders have us exactly where they want us. We give our kids cell phones, money for alcohol, and drugs. Even buy them a car, and don't ask them to work for any of this. We have been brainwashed so bad we can't see what is going on right in front of us. We are allowing a generation to be destroyed. If we don't stop it "now" it will be disastrous. Once they become teens and have no discipline it is too late. We are in for a very bad time. Brace yourself and try to be prepared. Hope and pray we will stop this madness. If you bring up a child with love, attention, and discipline, there is a great chance that child will do well. If not, you, and us all will reap the consequences.
