Southside 64, Calera 37

Southside blew past Calera 64-37 in the Class 4A South Sub-Regional with the help of 16 points from Shaniqua Williams and 13 from Regina Bartholomew.

Takari Nelson and Africa Tyler added 11 points apiece.

Keona Davis led Calera with 19 points and Bianca Norris had seven.

Central Christian 53, Coosa Valley 46

Central Christian outscored Coosa Valley 23-10 in the fourth quarter to overcome a 7-point deficit and advance to the AISA Class A Final Four.

“My girls played very hard and didn’t shut down in the fourth quarter,” said Central Chrisitan coach Darrell Walker.

Kara Rawls led the Warriors with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Tiffany Brown added 21 points.
