Hornets crush Southside

Dallas County opened area play with a 16-0 victory over Southside on Tuesday.

Whitney Denson faced the minimum of 12 batters over 4 innings while tossing a one-hitter and recording five strikeouts.

McKinsey Crawford led off the first with a walk and Denson reached on a bunt. After Kim Ross walked to load the bases, Ciera Ingram ripped a single to right to score two. The Lady Hornets followed with three more runs in the first to take a 5-0 lead.

The Hornets added three more runs in the next two innings before exploding for 9 runs in the top of the fourth. Ingram, Cassie Daniels, and Ilicia Stewart led the Hornets at the plate.

How good are the Hornets? Is their pitching really that good or are they not playing anyone?

We've got two great pitchers; one relies on her accuracy while the other relies on her speed. Like you mentioned, though, it's who we're playing.
