Keith gets first win against Highland Home

Published Saturday, September 6, 2008

HIGHLAND HOME — Keith did what it does best in a 34-7 win over Highland Home on Friday night.

The Bears (1-1) racked more than 300 rushing yards, led by D’Wan Lewis’ 141 and two touchdowns.

“I think they kind of surprised themselves on how well they did tonight,” Keith coach Harry Crum said of his players. “I’m proud of the team and coaching team for an excellent job.”

Although Highland Home scored first in the second quarter, Keith’s defense locked down the clamps the rest of the way.

It all started with the linebacker play. Lewis led the team with 15 tackles, and Terry Jones was right behind with 14.
