Nestle′ Prepared Foods Company announced a recall Monday involving one of its most popular frozen entrée.
But Selma’s Wal-Mart, Calhoun Foods, Valley Grande Market, and Winn-Dixie’s did not carry the recalled product.
The Mount Sterling, Kentucky company recalled more than 199,400 pounds of Lean Pocket’s Spinach Artichoke Chicken Sandwiches.
Consumers complained to the company about finding pieces of plastic in the sandwiches.
The company notified the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service of the recall.
The recalled product was manufactured on May 23. The “Best Before” date reads “Nov 2009.” The recalled product package code begins with “8144 544616.” The establishment number is “P7721A.”
Selma’s Wal-Mart, Calhoun Foods, Valley Grande Market, and Winn-Dixie’s did not carry the recalled product.
Two injuries occurred from the unsafe food. The USDA advised anyone who is concerned about possible illness or injury from the product to consult a physician.
