Saints take Wilcox Central tournament

— Selma overcame an early 10-point deficit to knock off Wilcox Central 60-51 in the championship game of the Wilcox Central Holiday Tournament.

“We played an outstanding game tonight,” said Selma coach Woodie Jackson. “We showed a whole lot of composure.”

Duprie Rivers led the Saints with 25 points and four rebounds. Wendell Lewis added 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Gary Nicholson led the Jaguars with 12 points and Kendric Atwood had 10.

Lewis was named tournament MVP. Lewis, Rivers, Justin Ravizee, DeAngelo Norris and Tedric Owens were named to the all-tournament team.
