The Selma High School Marching Band is teaming up with Big River Carwash Thursday to raise money for new uniforms.

Band director Brandon Williams said the band is growing and is in need of more uniforms.

The people of Selma and Dallas County never hesitates to give back, and this is a great cause. The band is a big part of many students’ lives, as they dedicate hours of their time practicing their instruments and their marching technique.

The band is always involved in the community, whether it is performing on Friday nights in the fall at football games or marching in parades.

It is great to see a local business teaming up with the band to help raise funds. Fifty percent of all sales made Thursday will go back to the band.
Getting your car washed is a small price to pay for helping aspiring musicians.
