Roundup: Concordia baseball loses to Morehouse

Morehouse College 4, Concordia 1  (baseball)

Concordia’s Keundre Simuel singled to score Carl Fleeting in the seventh inning, but the Hornets couldn’t inch any closer in Saturday’s 4-1 loss to Morehouse College. Hornets pitcher Ja’David Kieth allowed only one earned run in four innings. Maxwell Thurmond allowed three runs in relief off of two hits.

 

Morehouse College 11, Concordia 5 (Baseball)

Morehouse College used a five-run sixth inning to pull away from Concordia Saturday in an 11-5 win. Concordia’s Keundre Simuel had three RBIs to lead the way for the Hornets in the loss. Darius Ford and Jamel Stewart each also brought in runs for Concordia. Dustin Holmes pitched five innings for the Hornets, allowing seven earned runs and throwing two strikeouts.

 

Selma 14, Clark Atlanta 6 (baseball)

Selma’s Devon Pedro drove in four runs Saturday as the Bulldogs defeated Clark Atlanta 14-6. Deshun Bolling and Daryl Watkins also had two RBIs each for Selma in the win. Garrett Price was credited for the win for Selma after allowing only two earned runs in five innings pitched. Selma had 13 hits, while Clark Atlanta was held to only six in the game. The Bulldogs lost to Eastern New Mexico 19-4 in a second game Saturday.
