Roundup: Selma boys fall to Pensacola

Selma trailed by 22 points against Pensacola High School Tuesday in the Gulf Coast Classic. The Saints rallied to within five, but couldn’t inch closer in what turned out to be a 56-44 loss.

Kentravious White scored 15 on five 3-pointers and Quentavious Davis had 11 points for the Saints.

 

Selma 52, Sipsey Valley 44 (Girls)

Selma (15-2) defeated Sipsey Valley 52-44 in the Dwight Madison Roundball Classic at Carver High School. Jacquetta Dailey scored 22 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the Saints.

 

Isabella 41, Dallas County 25 (Girls)

Jorge’Undra Dower and Tynesha Jones scored six points apiece Monday in Dallas County’s 41-25 loss to Isabella in the Jemison Tournament. Dallas County also fell to Jemsion 30-24 Tuesday.

 

Montevallo 48, Dallas County 37 (Boys)

Montevallo outscored Dallas County 26-6 in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 48-37 win over the Hornets in the Jemison Tournament. Timothy Baker scored 10 points to lead the Hornets.

 

Coosa Valley 61, Dallas County 59 (Boys)

Jaydon Buford scored 14 points and Timothy Baker chipped in another 13, but Dallas County fell to Coova Valley Tuesday in the Jemison Tournament.

 

Friendship 44, Dallas County 37 (Boys)

Timothy Baker scored 11 points in Dallas County’s 44-37 loss Wednesday in the Jemison Tournament.
