The game got off to a slow scoring start. The Panthers and Tigers were tied 8-8 at the end of the first quarter. Southside fell behind in the second quarter, and the Panthers trailed 30-19 at halftime.

Price hit three 3-pointers and Kentavius Page added two 3-pointers in the second half. The Panthers put up 20 points in each of the final two quarters, but couldn’t stop Greenville payers from sinking three 3-pointers and compiling a 23-point third quarter.

The Morgan Senators (2-1) turned the ball over 34 times in a loss to the Escambia Academy Cougars 70-43 Thursday. Woodham Kemmer led the scoring for the Senators with 12 points. Sawyer Hopkins added 11 points.
