Police looking for 15-year-old runaway

The Selma Police Department is searching for a 15-year-old Selma girl who allegedly ran away from home Sunday.

According to Lt. Sam Miller, Brionna Lashley Murphy was reported missing Sunday from the 1200 block of Green Street.

Miller said Murphy’s mother reported her missing after she left home. Miller said Murphy has run away from home before, and the police are hoping someone will see her and report it to them.

Murphy was last seen wearing a blue and white sweater, blue jeans and brown boots.

Miller said she could be in the area of Chanticleer Apartments, which are on the 1200 block of Woodrow Avenue.

Miller said Murphy may have friends at the apartment complex, but they have not had any reports of her being there.

Murphy is described as a black female standing at 4-foot-9 and weighing 102-pounds.

Miller encourages anyone that sees Murphy or hears of her whereabouts to call the Selma Police Department at 874-6611.

“We’re going to put her picture out there, and hopefully somebody will call us or this will make her go home,” Miller said.
