Allez-oup has moved back into the front of Carter Drug Company.

Allez-oup can now be found inside Carter Drug Company, where the store was originally started.

Manager Janice Bolden said the move gives shoppers more flexible hours. Carter’s is open seven days a week and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays.

“It was a very good move. It was also a beneficial move,” said Janice Bolden, manager of Allez-oup. “I’m very happy. I’m looking forward to the holiday season coming up. We’re geared for it.”

Carl Bowline, the company’s director of marketing and public relations, said moving the store to the front at Carter’s has been beneficial for both businesses.

“It allowed us to extend the hours beyond what our normal boutique hours were,” Bowline said. “It allows us to draw people in for the pharmacy that take advantage of the boutique and vice versa. It allows us to service all of our customers within one building, which is nice.”

Bowline said the store prides itself on working with local artists and companies to sell their products.

G Mommas Cookies, Revival Coffee, Becky Blaylock’s pottery, Simply Making It and more locally-made products are offered inside Allez-oup.

“There’s a lot of people out there doing a lot of good things, and that’s what Carter’s wants to do to find those businesses,” Bowline said. “It really has been great for the store.”

As far as for the building next door that once housed Allez-oup, Bowline said the company has some pretty good ideas for it, like turning it into Carter’s Health and Wellness. He said the new business would sell health and medical supplies, but it would also offer counseling and more.

“We’ve got some really good ideas for next door. We’re working with some local people to be able to bring in some items that you don’t see in other stores,” Bowline said.

The store is projected to be complete sometime in 2016, but for now they are focused on making sure Allez-oup has everything it needs to keep customers happy and coming back.

“We have a great time doing what we do,” Bolden said. “We love it.”
