Meadowview Christian (4-1) blew by Cornerstone Christian (3-2) in a road game Friday as the Trojans won 57-21 in 6-man football.

“We played great. We had a big lead at halftime and we got a bunch of our young kids in in the second half and it was just a good night,” said Meadowview head coach Lebo Jones.

The game was never in doubt as the Trojans took a 51-7 lead into halftime.

With the win, Jones said Meadowview clinched its first playoff berth in eight years.

“We clinched a playoff spot tonight for sure,” Jones said. “That was our goal at the first part of the year.  We haven’t been to the playoffs since 2007 and we clinched a spot tonight, so that was a huge accomplishment.”

Meadowview’s Chris Wilson led the way on the ground with 120 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Mason Kendrick added 80 yards rushing, 60 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Jeremy Lee passed for 60 yards and a touchdown.

Meadowview has a bye next week. The Trojans next game is at home against Conecuh Springs Christian on Oct. 16.
