Dennis Miers Rutledge, 54, of Memphis, passed away July 21, 2015, in Memphis. Services are scheduled for August 1, 2015, at 12 p.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Frederick Hardy officiating. Burial will follow in Lorenzo Harrison Gardens with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dan Rutledge Sr; and grandmothers, Mrs. Marion James and Mrs. Joanna Williams. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Marion D. Rutledge; daughter, Tennesia Rutledge; granddaughters, Anihya Wilkes, Caylee Rutledge, MacKenzie Rutledge and Madison Rutledge; brother, Dan Rutledge Jr.; sisters, Sequita (Paul) Oliver of Selma and Sandra (Sabastian) Guthrie of Stone Mountain, Ga.; five nieces; four nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.
