Two men who were wanted for capital murder in a fatal drive-by shooting were arrested late Monday night by U.S. Marshals.

According to a press release from the Selma Police Department, U.S. Marshals notified the Major Crimes Unit around 12:35 a.m. Tuesday that Kevin Delano Johnson Sr. and Reginald Brown were arrested and in custody at the Dallas County Jail.

Johnson and Brown have both been charged with capital murder, two counts of attempted murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle. They are being held on no bond.

Markus Latrel Brown was arrested last Thursday, a day after the shooting, and given the same charges.

The trio allegedly shot into a pickup truck last Wednesday, killing a 26-year-old Georgia man and injuring two others.

The 26-year-old was identified by Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson as Tobias Cooper. Cooper was pronounced dead at Vaughan Regional Medical Center after he was shot in the stomach and thigh.

A 33-year-old man was shot in the hand, and a 34-year-old was shot in the head. The 34-year-old was listed in critical condition last Friday.

The shooting happened Wednesday night around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 80 and Roosevelt Avenue.

According to Muhannad, the 33-year-old told investigators the shots came from high-powered assault rifles.

“Investigators were advised by the 33-year-old victim … that a tan and/or cream colored [Chevrolet] Tahoe was at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and U.S. Highway 80 East … stopped at the traffic light,” Muhannad said.

“When they approached the intersection and turned onto Roosevelt [Avenue], the suspects in the Tahoe opened fired on their vehicle.”

If convicted, the three men could face life in prison or the death penalty.
