The Selma Police Department arrested one Selma man Friday and issued warrants for two others that are wanted for the capital murder of a 26-year-old Georgia man Wednesday night.

According to Lt. Curtis Muhannad, 26-year-old Markus Latrel Brown was arrested Friday, and two other suspects are on the run from law enforcement.

Muhannad said warrants have been issued for 39-year-old Kevin Delano Johnson and 34-year-old Reginald Bernold Brown.

The warrants are for capital murder, two counts of attempted murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle.

“The warrants for their arrest are following the July 22, 2015, shooting investigation of multiple victims at the intersection of U.S. Highway 80 East and Roosevelt Avenue,” Muhannad said.

The shooting happened Wednesday night around 9:33 p.m.

Tobias Cooper, 26, who was one of three victims, was pronounced dead at the Vaughan Regional Medical Center Wednesday night. Cooper was shot in the thigh and abdomen.

Two others, a 33-and 34-year-old were shot as well. The 34-year-old, who was listed in critical condition Thursday, was shot in the head, and the 33-year-old was shot in the hand.

The 34-year-old, who has not been identified, was last listed in critical condition Thursday afternoon, according to Muhannad.

The shooting happened when Cooper and the two other victims were turning onto Roosevelt Avenue off of U.S. Highway 80 East Wednesday night. The shots came from high-powered assault rifles from a tan or cream-colored Chevrolet Tahoe.
