Supreme court justices speaking for entire nation

The Supreme Court has spoken, at least five of the nine justices have imposed their will on 320,000,000 people. In a five to four decision, the five justices decided to add a side note to the Constitution giving the right of marriage to gays and lesbians. Aside from it having nothing to do with the Constitution in the words of Chief Justice Roberts, and certainly not a part of it; it goes against the historic and God ordained definition of marriage. You can also add that it is contrary to natural law. The natural and historic order of things is a man and woman producing offsprings and nurturing them in a father and mother environment. There is no question of the benefits and results of such a wholesome environment on children. Study after study points up to the family unit as the model of civilization with the best results for stability and success. It is the backbone of a civil society. Most of the problems we now face are because of the disintegration of the family unit. Until that is fixed or at least stabilized, poverty, violence, school dropouts, dependency, murder, drugs, gangs and all other forms of social ills will only continue to worsen. Without a doubt, this ruling just made matters worse and does nothing to strengthen traditional families.

None of this mattered to the five appointed justices who wrongly came to the decision that the entire history of mankind must be changed to accommodate this slender minority of people with anomalous tendencies and attractions. They decided to make it a right in our Constitution. There are ways of amending the Constitution through the amendment process which involves all the people. However, these five justices must consider themselves wiser than the people and why take a chance on it failing.

“The danger is not, that the judges will be too firm in resisting public opinion, and in defense of private rights or public liberties; but, that they will be ready to yield themselves to the passions, and politics, and prejudices of the day.” —Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution, 1833

In my opinion, this is the worse seated Supreme Court ever in our 239 year history, bar none. Supreme Court Justices are appointed for life. They stay up there until senility sets in and beyond. Some have even been known to nod off to sleep while assembled, yet they can still issue an opinion.

We need a retirement age set on these people. We also need justices who interpret the law as written, not try to rewrite it. And, we need independent open minded individuals void of preconceived ideology as Democrats or Republicans. As a matter of fact, I believe we would be much better off without the Supreme Court in the manner it is now appointed. It is a joke.

This ruling is what it is, man’s folly, “but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15
