There’s a new business in town that’s ready to help clients find the perfect employee.

Surge, a staffing agency, held a ribbon cutting with the Selma-Dallas County Chamber of Commerce Wednesday at their new location.

Surge has been in Selma since September of 2014, but they have been in their new office for only a few weeks.

Surge employees are enthusiastic about their new adventure.

“I’m very excited [to be open],” said Dana Vines, branch manager and staffing specialist.

Surge was founded in 2005 and now has locations in 15 states according to the company’s website.

Surge uses a performance system to select employees for clients. Applicants can visit Surge in person or go visit surgestaffing.com to begin the process, which includes an application, interview, assessments, assignment, training and a worksite evaluation.

After being established in Selma for only a short time, Vines said she has high hopes for the future of the company.

“I hope that we are able to not only cultivate the relationships that we have with our current clients, but also be able to reach out to clients in our area and in our surrounding areas and be able to provide them the same services that we do our current clients,” Vines said.

The local branch is located at 132 Broad St. in Selma.

Vines can be reached at 267-5555 or dvines@surgestaffing.com.
