Dear editor,

On April 8 my wife Cathy Sanders and I, Jerry Sanders, had a motorcycle accident on Citizens Parkway near Sears at about 10:30 a.m. By God’s wonderful grace and mercy we are both now recovering.

We both would like to thank all the kind people that came to our aid. We were comforted and treated kindly by so many strangers and friends. The fireman, police and ambulance workers were very good at their jobs. They acted quickly and professionally. Thank you so much. I would like to thank David Hulsey at Power Sports. He graciously took our motorcycle to his business and stored it. Thank you.

The Vaughan emergency room did a wonderful job in getting us ready for our trip to UAB in Birmingham to their emergency room. Vaughan made it possible to start a road to recovery. They took care of my wife’s injuries so that UAB could continue the process. Thank you.

Selma has been our home. We have been here over 23 years. We have many good friends and love living here. If we would have died that day we would have went to be with the Lord, but God maybe has allowed us to be here with our children and friends some more.Thank you God and to all that have been a part of our recovery. We a wonderful family and a gracious God who cannot fail.

Jerry Sanders
