Letter announces Cadence Bank will stay in Uniontown

After a meeting between Cadence Bank officers and a group of Uniontown citizens, Cadence Bank withdrew its application for closure of the Uniontown branch. It is my understanding that over 900 letters were written to the CEO of Cadence Bank plus numerous letters to Sen. Shelby, Sen. Sessions, Rep. Sewell and the Comptroller of the Currency.

Not only will the Uniontown branch remain open, the Cadence officers are working on some new products which will be exclusive to Uniontown and, if successful there, may be used in other branches.

So you can see, if we all pull together for a common cause and send up a lot of prayers, we can overcome any crisis. If anyone has already moved their accounts to another bank, we ask that you please come back home!

We would like to especially thank Mr. Dann Lee and Mr. Robert Harris of Cadence Bank for their help in making this decision to stay happen and as always, we are appreciative of and thankful for the power of the press.
