Adelle Atchison Wright, 87, of Plantersville, died Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.

She was born Tuesday, November 1, 1927, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Homer B. Atchison and the late Mary Smith Atchison.

Mrs. Wright was a horticulturalist.

Surviving are her sons, Norman David (Martha) Wright Jr. of Plantersville and Donald Regan (Kathleen) Wright of Plantersville; grandsons, Norman David (Heather) Wright III of Plantersville and Brandon M. (Kimberly) Wright of Plantersville; granddaughters, Diane Wright (Larry) Irwin of LaGrange, Ga. and Celia Wright (Gary) Bradberry of Plantersville; great-grandchildren, Abby, Noah, Aubrey, Addison, Logan, Leah, Conner and Bryan; and a host of other family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman David Wright Sr.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2015, at Martin Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Plantersville Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Stephens and the Rev. Mike Golson officiating.

Interment will follow in Plantersville Christian Cemetery. Special thanks to the Gardens of Clanton and all staff. Martin Funeral Home will be directing the services.
