Edna O. Bearden, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at the age of 86.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hayward Bearden; daughter, Nancy B. Cathey; parents, Henry T. and Izola Sewell Ousley; brothers, Henry Ousley Jr. and Earl Ousley.

Mrs. Bearden was survived by her son, William Joseph Bearden; daughter, Judy B. (John) Newberry; son-in-law, Gerald (Andrea) Cathey; sisters, Pauline O. Mills and Della Ruth O. Johnson; sisters-in-law, Edna Wallace, Nell (Noodie) Carroll, Shirley (Clyde) Kendrick and Clara Baskin. She is also survived by grandchildren, Norma (Jimmy) Johnson, Winston Bearden, Jamie Bearden, Bart (Samantha) Cathey and Jed Cathey; great-grandchildren, Landon Johnson, Malachi and Braylin Cathey, Harlie and Taylor Chapman; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 27, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Kenny Hatcher and the Rev. Ken Blake officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers will be, the deacons of Northside Baptist Church.
