With a lot of the state on spring break holidays, there was little movement in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association baseball and softball polls.

Morgan Academy’s softball team (11-2-2) remained the only team from Selma and Dallas County ranked in the poll.

The Senators are No. 4 in the Alabama Independent School Association poll for the second consecutive week.

The no. 1 teams in the state in baseball are Hewitt-Trussville (7A), Cullman (6A), Charles Henderson (5A), UMS-Wright (4A), Hale County (3A), Luverne (2A), Athens Bible (1A) and Monroe Academy (AISA). The top ranked teams in softball are Hewitt-Trussville (7A), Southside-Gadsden (6A), Hayden (5A), Curry (4A), Hale County (3A), Sumiton Christian (2A), Ragland (1A) and Macon East (AISA).
