Clayton Thornton scored 18 points to lead Meadowview Christian to a 61-35 victory over Cahawba Christian Monday night.

Javier McGuire also scored 16 points for the Trojans (8-3), who showed no rust in their first game after a long break for Christmas and New Year’s.

Alan Stockman and Garret Grantham also scored nine points for Meadowview.

 

Meadowview 42, Cahawba 16 (Girls)

Meadowview Christian’s Lady Trojans locked down defensively to pick up a 42-16 win Monday over Cahawba Christian.

The Lady Trojans (8-3) were led by Mallory Freine’s 18 points and 12 from Christina Dabit. Taylor Roberts and Claudia Kendrick each scored six points.

 

Meadowview 31, Cahawba 30 (JV)

Meadowview Christian’s junior varsity boys squeaked out a one-point win over Cahawba Christian 31-30 Monday. Justin McGuire led the way for the Trojans with 19 points.
