Evelyn Louise Comer Woolsey, age 90, of Birmingham, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, in Birmingham. She was the daughter of James Edward Comer and Lula Hitchcock Comer and the wife of the late William Swift Woolsey, Jr.

She is survived by her three children, William Swift Woolsey III, James Marcus Woolsey and Melinda Lucinda Huntress; three grandchildren, William Swift Woolsey IV, Timothy Dalton Huntress and Mary Veronica Huntress Miller; and the memory of her deceased grandson, Todd William Wooten. She is also survived by two brothers, James Edward Comer Jr. of Robertsdale, and Lee Marcus Comer of Shelby County, and their families. Loving memories of Evelyn are shared by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Evelyn attended Eastlake United Methodist Church in Birmingham.

Visitation will be at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. with her service beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma at 2 p.m.
