Three males threw objects at an A.L. Johnson school bus Tuesday night, resulting in a broken window on the left side of the vehicle.

A.L. Johnson had just played a basketball game at Ellwood Christian Academy. The A.L. Johnson boys won 69-67 in the final game of the night.

The bus departed Ellwood and turned onto Medical Center Parkway, where three males started throwing objects at the bus.

One male threw a rock, which busted out a window on the left side of the bus and caused glass to be scattered onto a juvenile passenger, according to Selma Police Department Lt. Curtis Muhannad.

The bus driver continued driving until reaching the 3400 block of U.S. Highway 80 West to get to a safe location. The SPD responded to the scene at approximately 9:30 p.m. Officers were able to recover the rock inside the bus, Muhannad said. The juvenile passenger was checked out by Care Ambulance Service.
