With only three more weeks until Christmas, Selma residents may still be in a rush to order the perfect Christmas card to mail out. This year, Integrity Worldwide, an international, Christian, non-profit ministry may have a great option for those looking to send out something that will spread Christmas cheer.

The ministry is launching their sixth annual Christmas card campaign where people can purchase a card to send to friends or family members and the donation made towards the card will go to bless some of the many people Integrity Worldwide is working alongside in Kenya and Tanzania.

The organization has provided school scholarships, schoolhouse lunches, small business loans, medical care and built deep water wells for the Maasai people in Southern Kenya using sustainable techniques to help villages become all they can be.

“This is a great way to bless people this year around the world and also tell those close to you that you love them,” founder of Integrity Worldwide, Averee Hicks said. “Helping others is what Christmas is all about, and though we do projects all year, we want to give everyone an opportunity to send blessings this Christmas and Advent season.”

The Christmas cards can be purchased by making a donation to Integrity Worldwide either online at integrityworldwide.org or by mail to P.O. Box 347, Selma AL 36702.

Hicks said the card is more than just a Christmas card, it is truly a two-fold blessing.

“The person who receives the card is blessed by the gesture and by the donation made in their name, and the Maasai in Kenya will be so blessed by the gesture for years to come with the many projects in their community,” Hicks said. “And with social media these days, most people close to you have seen recent pictures of your family, so why not send them a surprise and invite them to join in on the exciting projects going on in Southern Kenya?”

Integrity Worldwide pays the postage for the cards sent out and they send them on the donors behalf, taking care of addressing and mailing.

“These cards are a precious way to remember somebody for Christmas,” Hicks said. “The money goes to something of real value and is life changing for everyone involved in Selma and in Kenya.”
