Meadowview Christian 70,  Brooklane 55 (Boys)

Clayton Thornton scored 32 points and had 10 rebounds to lead Meadowview Christian (3-0) to a 70-55 win Friday over Brooklane Baptist. Justin McGuire scored 13 points and Alan Stockman added nine for the Trojans.

The Trojans’ junior varsity defeated Brooklane 45-42. Kaymon McGuire scored 13 points to lead the Trojans JV, followed by Justin McGuire’s 12 points and Mason Kendrick’s 10. Meadowview’s next game will be against Marion Dec. 2

Meadowview Christian 54,  Brooklane 27

Meadowview Christian doubled up Brooklane Baptist 54-27 Friday night. Claudia Kendrick and Taylor Roberts added 10 points and Mallory Freine added 8 points.

 

Dallas County 69,  Booker T. Washington 62 (Boys)

Dallas County won in overtime over Booker T. Washington 69-62 Friday in the school’s first game since winning the class 4A state basketball championship last season.

Jerrod Moorer scored 27 points and added 13 rebounds to lead the way for the Hornets. Raheem Phillips scored 24 points, added five rebounds and six steals.

Dallas County’s Mario Simmons hit a three-pointer that sent the game to overtime.

 

Keith 45, Wilcox Central 34 (boys)

Keith (2-1) won a defensive game with Wilcox Central 45-34 Friday night. The Bears have won their last two games after dropping their season opener against Selma High School.
