Residents will have chance to score a tasty deal while helping the community during the Rotary Club of Selma’s annual barbecue fundraiser.

The club has been preparing for its big event, which is set for Friday at Bloch Park from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The group cleaned the grills Wednesday with plans to dedicate Thursday and Friday morning to cooking the Boston butts they will have for sale at $35 each.

The profits from the event will go toward the club’s ongoing service projects.
