Ida Lyon Traylor, age 100, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away November 9, 2014. She was born in Collirene, Alabama, on May 7, 1914, to Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Niles (Inez Yagle) Lyon. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dr. David Hartwell Traylor, sisters Elizabeth Lyon Pickens, Edwina Lyon Cannon, and Bertha Lyon Thomas. Survivors include two sons, David Traylor and Gordon Traylor of Shreveport, sister Rosa Lyon Rives of Selma, Alabama nephew Tom Rex Pickens of Brewton, Alabama, and several other nieces and nephews. Also surviving is special friend Lynda Madole of Shreveport.

A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held on November 14 at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Shreveport, where she taught preschool Sunday School classes for many years.
