Exercise your right to vote on Tuesday

It’s important to head to the polls Tuesday and exercise your right to vote.

We may not be electing a president this week, but we are electing a governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and a secretary of state.

Our right to vote is one of our most important rights as Americans, and no matter who you vote for, it’s important to make your opinion count on Tuesday.

For the runoff election in July, only 597 people out of 31,162 registered voters in Dallas County voted. That’s a shame.

Obviously for this year’s midterm election, we hope for a much bigger turnout. As Alabamians, it’s our right to vote on who should lead our state. It’s our duty too.

If we don’t vote, we have no right to complain about the decisions made by our leaders. Tuesday is our day to have our say and to let our opinion be known. Don’t let it pass without giving yours.
