Christian Outreach Alliance is hosting an inaugural fundraiser Friday.

The alliance is encouraging the public to participate in its Stock the Shelves fundraiser by dropping canned goods and monetary donations to its food pantry, located on the 700 J.L. Chestnut Jr. Blvd.

The event will be held from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.

“We hope that we will be very successful in our first ever fundraiser,” said Nancy Bennett, COA board member.

The pantry prefers average-sized cans, and would like participants to avoid giving food sealed in glass containers.

COA supplies at least 8.5 pounds of food to each qualified client monthly.
