Karen M. Nimon, 48, of Lakeville, IN passed away at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Hospice House, South Bend.   She was born on September 12, 1966 in Selma AL. She was united in marriage on May 3, 2004 in Nashville, IN to Christopher G. Nimon.

Karen is survived by her husband, Christopher G. Nimon; four daughters, Megan Griffee, Ashley Griffee and Jordan Nimon, all of Lakeville, IN and stepdaughter, Kiara Patrick of Plymouth, IN; son, Joe Griffee of Lakeville, IN; mother, Judy Joiner of AL; father, Phillip (Geraldine) Joiner of FL; sister, Kimberly (John) Warren of Selma, AL; brother, Kevin Scott Joiner of South Bend, IN and father-in-law, Chuck Nimon of Plymouth, IN.   She was preceded in death by her infant son, Christopher George Nimon Jr.

Karen moved to the local area in 1990.  She worked as a property manager for Varin Realty.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan St., Lakeville, IN.  Pastor Steve Cox will officiate.  Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.  Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the services.
