The Selma Times-Journal recently welcomed two new employees to the team; one working in the newspaper’s newsroom, the other joining the circulation team.

Selma native Courtney Sanders is the Times-Journal’s new circulation customer service representative. In her role, Sanders will be the first person most visitors to the Times-Journal will see, or the first voice customers will hear when calling the newspaper.

“I’m excited to being working in such a positive place,” Sanders, a 2010 graduate of Meadowview Christian School. “Everyone is so enjoyable and pleasant to be around. The customers, too, have been great to get to know.”

Alaina Denean is the newest addition to the Times-Journal’s newsroom, serving as one of the newspaper’s reporters.

Alaina is a native of Dothan and a graduate of the University of Alabama, where she majored in photography.

“I am thrilled to be able to start my career at The Selma Times-Journal,” Denean said. “I’m looking forward to learning more about Selma, and becoming part of this historic city.”

To contact Sanders, she can be reached at courtney.sanders@selmatimesjournal.com. Denean can be reached at alaina.denean@selmatimesjournal.com.

“Both Courtney and Alaina will no doubt have a positive impact on the newspaper and in the Selma and Dallas County community,” Times-Journal publisher Dennis Palmer said.
